Alright this story is a little hard to follow so I will just throw up a link to Kotaku Japan.
Seems they think from this interview that The next Monster Hunter outside of Japan is going to launch on both the Vita and the 3DS.. I am a having a hard time believing this and am still leaning towards the next one coming out for the Vita.
Everyone outside of Japan just wants Portable 3rd in there native language, and the most loved feature of Monster Hunter Tri was the dual analog sticks. So it makes more sense to me that we would see this on the vita and not jumping to a handheld console that would limit it to one analog stick again.
What is everyone else’s thoughts?

I’d love to see a date on any console for the west!!! However I’m still holding on to some hope for a PS3 release!!
Great site, I check daily
PS3 would be my top pick right now also, but I really think it will be a launch title for the Vita.
People were speculating a DS port or original title of some sort. Capcom wants to release MH across all platforms and the PS3 needs some love. I’m willing to bet they’ll release it first for the Vita, then announce a PS3 HD release. I’m not buying a Vita just for this game, so I’ll wait for a PS3 version.
My god Capcom, just give us Portable 3rd! Why are they treating us so bad?
@ Kazama-Jin , in defence from what I have seen from recent capcom interviews I really don’t think it’s Capcoms fault. It is infact Sony itself which is delaying any Re-Mastered HD releases for the west.
We must be patient in these dark days.
I’ve been hearing that the infrastructure needed to support the online multiplayer is also partly to blame, since that’s what the game is based around (multiplayer) but they apparently made this game easy enough to solo through. Capcom needs to make arrangements for the infrastructure or else it would be pointless to release MHP3rd to the west without adequate online support.
I would be happy for a release of portable 3rd that uses adhocparty at this point. It would be nice to see a full infrastructure setup for the game. Which may happen with a Vita release. I really think Sony knows they need this game as a Vita launch, but the question is still if this will be a launch title in the west for the Vita.
