Its no surprise that Sony Japan is showing off Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in its UMD PassPort Commercial.
The big question is if the rest of us will ever see this title outside of Japan.

sadly I think MH has gone to nintendo. The region blocking doesnt aid in my want to import an entire unit but if 4 is only on 3ds as stated then uh oh
It would certainly appear so, even though there are some rumours about a vita release, they all point towards a 2nd adaptation of MHP3rd, which means that Capcom seems to have shifted and yes, the region blocking is a bitch
Frankly speaking I and my significant other have been diehard monster hunter fans on our psp’s since freedom unite. I was upset when they didnt release Portable 3rd to the US. We really wanted the new options on the cats.
I’m still playing freedom unite as I still don’t have all the mats i want/need to craft some of the rarer armors like the fatalis stuff. It takes forever with the drop rates in freedom.
Im not confident that it’ll hit the vita but if it does I’ll be snatching up a copy for sure. Sadly I have to agree with Jason up above on the nintendo thing for monster hunter. There’s indicators its coming to the 3DS but not mch being said about the vita other than being able to get it off the JP PSN with a JP PSN network money card.
If the release it on the Vita it needs to be in a HD form as I have MHFU on the vita (psp digital copy) and it looks awful : (
I was playing MHFU last night for the first time in a while. I got pretty mad at not being able to hit monster tails. The sword just passed through it like a ghost. I really had forgot how much tri had improved on stuff.

ehh?..not be able to hit tails?..you have always been able to hit tails. I used to go on “Plate” runs in Monster Hunter 1 online. We would cut off tails to try and find rathalos plates which had like a 2% drop rate lol
I mean on the smaller creatures like Gendrome’s that have no tail cuts. The tail didn’t register as a hit most the time for me. My sword passed through like it was not even there.
oh yeah lol..it doesnt bother me much though.. I have always used hammer so I’m hitting face and body most of the time
All ive played is freedom Unite, im used to how the game moves and does it’s thing. I havent played tri on the wii and Im hearing tales that 3g is amazing in the improvements that have been made since freedom unite.
I still get a rush farming the Nargacuga though.
