Games.on.net is reporting that some Spain retailers are expecting a September or July release for Monster Hunter 3G.
They also mention of Dummy copies of the game floating around.. Can anyone confirm what they mean by this?
“But with promotional dummy copies of Capcom’s cult hit action RPG popping up all over the Iberian peninsula, it would seem a formal announcement of 3G is just around the corner.”
I am hoping they don’t mean the photoshops we have seen online for the last while?

I could say that’s soo long away, but if its coming, then that’s something I suppose.
Monster hunter portable 3rd is the easiest in the series so far though, so I hope they release a G version/a new vita game if they are releasing one soon for the psv.
The Vita has more power and overall ability in my opinion, but a new MH is a new MH, as long as its a 3DS/Vita game, I’m not bothered as I have both.
July release for 2 MHs please
and then MH4 for 3DS MH4HD for Vita XD (as if)
Dummy Copies are usually what stores put up on shelves to allow pre-orders and such, but its usually not the final/original box artwork, its just a placeholder for when they DO get copies in store.
That Spanish retailer had a copy of MH3G for 3DS on shelves by the looks of it also.
MH3G on the Shelf
Here’s to hoping.
That image is a import I think? Its got some writing in the orange on the bottom left that I don’t think is Spanish.
The 2012 date is a good sign!
With all news starting to flow around this, I’m almost sure that Captivate will be the time we hear about MH for the West. And nope, the text in orange is in Japanesse, as well the game rating, in Europe they use Pegi that marks the age in numbers. The sign reads:
“Request your reservation document from to a salesperson and you will be the first to enjoy the Cd, Bluray or Game you want”
And it has July 2012 as tentative, JIC, hehe
Dont want to expect things like this. Needs the official words from capcom first.
The longer they make us wait the harder it becomes to trust anything.
That’s right. I been following this news for a long time now. But still no clues on when it will be release or if there will be release for westerners. I want solid proof from CRAPCOM not this rumor.
Yeah I got to hear it from the source, but any news is good news!
Still holding hope, good to know that capcom hasn’t shut the rumors down either though.
capcom had retailers pull the vita version down. this has been up for awhile in mom and pop shops so I assume its good to go
I believe it will get a release not long before it comes out on the wii-u in HD !
seriously right. our luck lol
Even if that were the case, it would be just like the psp – ps3, where they interconnect and having one doesn’t mean the other becomes obsolete. I think MH is like pokemon in the sense that it works best on portable terms
I don’t agree with that. I prefer playing on a non portable console. My best experience so far was monster hunter Tri on the wii. The ps3 version of MHP3 was good but mhp3 is way too easy IMO..
It was, the quickest MH I’ve played/ the easiest end boss also (however i did have more knowledge of MH than i ever had before and the weapons are more powerful/easier to deal more attacks than any other MH). And I played it solo (as i always do).
But i cant say i enjoyed MH3 more than MHP3 though. I like being able to play long hours on a game (not now as I’m a student, but i used to anyway) and i could never do that on the Wii for some reason (unless it was wii fit or something, were i felt more of a benefit).
Of course you can play long hours on a wii !! I can’t play long hours on a small hand held system, I’m the oposite to you ^_^ … Many long days and nights I was up playing MHTri, USB keyboard on the go!! It was amazing, miss that..
Can’t see how it’s ‘on the go’, but i can definately relate to the hours of fun. But i find it easier to play long hours on a portable, as you dont have to play around with wires. Also the Wii in my house is a family console, therefore i get thrown of when people are watching the tv etc. So i was lucky to get 2-3 full length quests in a day.
I put way more hours in on the psp..I played monster hunter Freedom 1,2 and unite on the psp and a translated version of Portable G, 2nd G and 3rd . I put about 500+ hours into MH on the ps2 and reached hr 20, 200 or so on Tri, about 30 on MH Dynamic Hunting(waiting for next update) and probably only 100 on Frontier. I’m somewhere close to 2,000 on the psp(all versions combined)..also I forgot to add the Monster Hunter
okke Village psp game..probably only like 50 hours or so into that one..its funny going on quests in that one..kinda like patapon…..Monster Hunter is my thang! lol
@ Fen ” on the go ” is an english expression I guess, sorry ^_^ …. another example is if say I was cooking a chicken at home in the Oven and my friend called me on my mobile I’d be like ” yeah I just have a chicken on the go in the oven ” LOL
@ Bumeo, that’s cool this isn’t about what geek’s got the biggest Great Sword. I put my thousands of hours into the PS3 MH3HD and Tri I put just under 2 thousand hours =_=
PS Dynamic hunting sucks slightly IMO (I do have it)
