In the latest episode of Ask Capcom (April 24th) Svennson commented on the release of a Monster Hunter game outside of Japan.. Nothing shocking or new was really revealed in the Q&A session, but its always nice to see capcom at least mention the idea of Monster Hunter outside of Japan.

Svensson does note the last 3 games in the series not reaching outside of Japan, and that the “future is bright” for the rest of us.. We just have to wait..
He also does say that he had wanted Portable 3rd HD released by now, but due to the Ad-Hoc Party issue with SCEA or SCEE PlayStation Networks.

Its too bad all capcom has for us is broken dreams. Its funny one reason i always hear they wont release mh here is cause it isnt as popular. But ive seen people become fans then say screw it because we havent seen a new game sense trii. And i love how noone acnoledes frontier anymore cuz thats lost to us too. Everyone i know has a hacked psp to play 3rd and now it seems they will go for that for the 3ds too. Watch phantasy star online 2 get a us release date before monsterhunter. It will happen

Well Monster Hunter was release on PSP so it’s not like they did not try to release it here. But if this comes out on 3DS before next pokemon game then It might spell trouble for Pokemon.
Yea it’s sad when a huge major game company with good profit margins, won’t take the smallest of hits on a good game. It’s only about money now, they might lose some pennies bringing it here so it’s best not to. They will just rehash Resident evil again and sells it to us dumb Muricuns.
Yeah I know it makes me an entitled brat, but I’m starting to get really frustrated and bummed out. I played my hacked psp portable 3rd until I simply couldn’t get by solo any more, but lack of PS3 English version creates a serious barrier for anyone to be able to play with me. US Monster Hunter support now! :C
When will news be released? It’s silly to withhold all of this information..There are people waiting to make a decision on whether to buy a PSP, or a DS. There are people waiting to decide if they should buy MHFU or MHtri3, depending on the release of a new MH. I wonder if Capcom is trying to build tension, or to create a big marketing campaign if and when a new MH is announced. How can they garner interest in this series by showing nothing?
Capcom knows that most Americans will buy crappy resident evil games and spinoffs, and they’ll give us the rest of the games that we don’t really care about, but when it comes to giving a solid, hardcore and dedicated fan base a taste of Monster Hunter… pretty much guaranteed amount of sales with a growing community, they wont do it. I’m playing the TW version of frontier now and enjoying it a lot. I’ve been hooked on MH since the first time I played it. It’s extremely frustrating to get brushed under the rug time after time now ;[
I play MHFO JP and can honestly say that it wouldn’t stick around for very long unless it was Global, and even then the way they handle sub fee/cash shop problem (KR was really bad with that respect and never made enough money to “re-purcahse” the MHFO license rights). Playing MHFO on the JP server is fun and interesting, partying with random players is easy with hot button chat commands and such. Plus a few English speaking Guilds and menu guides go along way, if you really want to try it out you can and might enjoy it as much as I do!
I’m very tempted to try that out but not being able to understand anything is a pretty big turn off. I remember playin a Japanese DBz game on my snes and it was fun but I never knew what I was doing lol. Anyway do u use a controller for mhfo?
yes you can use an xbox pc controller with it works great but like u said not being able to understand anything is a turnoff i played for a while but mostly on my own its hard to find groups for me anyway.
when I played monster hunter frontier..it wasnt all that bad..the items were the same..just remember the letters for mega and stuff for the potions..some stuff got annoying..like weapon pieces ..but there are guides everywhere online..so it was an easy fix

idk about every1 else but im not about to but a 3ds just to play 1 game dont get me wrong i love monster hunter i alrdy bought a wii just to play tri and to be frank they aint going to release a new monster hunter in the west unless its to promot the sales of a system or they just dont want to share with us 4 what ever reasons we love monster hunter just as much as japan
if ad hoc doesnt work 4 the ps3 version but y keep the psp version away from us? im sure it doesnt require ad hoc. as a fan i feel like capcom doesnt want to give the west any of the good monster hunter games there just going to release a new game in the west on a system no 1 wants till monster hunter comes out so ppl got 2 buy something they only need 4 1 game and that ladies and gentleman is how i think we will get a new game in the west wish it wasnt this way but im pretty sure thats what is going to happen over and over again

They just use the same level of systems (wii, psp, 3DS) so they don’t have to put any extra work. I head someone say,” I head there having problems putting it onto PS3, and that’s why there not doing it” Really? You mean they woe have to spend money AND put more research into the game? NEVER!
There so greedy, using the same level of consol and engine, they make 100% profit.
I would be happy if it went to vita, at least it would be a step up.
I watched the video and the bit they said on, “Things are planned out years in advance” how long has frontier been out? they’ve had PLENTY of time to plan out a localized version and instead they focus n creating more content for the japanese and koreans its a disgrace!
